Scripture Ref: Jeremiah 20:9……….’I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name, his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.”

The Organization, preparation and mobilization was in full gear using our Church social media platforms, Church Members rallied for youths to attend the night of prayer from various churches within and around amidst a few notable challenges.

It paid off with the turn up of the Youths being commendable; the number was good estimated at about 40 from other ministries including a team from Zoe Ministries Kampala led by Prophet Ivan and Impact Ministries Mbale.

As earlier communicated, Pr. Vivian was not be in attendance. But we were blessed to have her in person and she capped it with a message that was well deserving of her presence.

Her message for the youths was concluded stating that.…. ‘Leave a mark as you exit the world.’ That could be achieved by having principles, discipline in character and vision stressing exposure as an ingredient for growth and achievement. This left the youth with questions to always ask themselves;

1. Who am I?
2. Why am I here?
3. What can I do?

We were blessed with 4 preachers for the evening with encouraging messages for the youths in attendance.  Pr. Aron, Pr. Jonah, Pr. Surroc and Prophet Ivan.  Prophet delved deeper in worship which was greatly captivating.

Pr. Aron shared scripture from 1 Tim. 1:12 (Niv), “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has given me strength, that he considered me trust worthy, appointing me to his service.” Stressing the fact that it is by nature that God has really trusted us and therefore appointed us for ministry/service so we are a masterpiece.

Pr. Surroc taught the youths to have knowledge and understand the technics of fighting their way with humility for the good. 1Peter 5:5-9

With the teachings by the preachers, the youth were stirred and fired up with great excitement ready to be relevant in ministry and their community as a whole with the direction of the word; some of the lessons derived in the teachings included:

• Battles in life are inevitable
• No one was destined for poverty; everyone is born for a reason and season.
• As youths we should channel our energies for ministry other than misusing it doing non developmental activities.

Prophet. Ivan whose worship session was spirit stirring, the Welfare team headed by Sister Molly Adong.

Pr. Vivian’s presence was really honorable.  She graced the Overnight and as youths, we are forever grateful since she recognized and also thanked those who attended the overnight. She also thanked the Church team that Organized the overnight for the Job well done.

The next Youths Overnight is expected to be big and massive. The just concluded one being the maiden overnight, as organizers learnt our lessons. Therefore, what is to come will be awesome since we have been “set on Fire”.
